Jenny Taylor started us off. Which is appropriate since she’s brand new not only to Austin, but also to NEAWP.  She’s looking for her new home (AKA Job) here in the fabulous ATX event community.  Welcome Jenny!

Collin from Blue Rock Estate, the newest project from the power Disch couple, is now officially open.  20 acre venue with ballroom and a pool.  Check it out!

Did you know in addition to a venue Disch events can do event planning, lighting, floral and get the groom involved too?  They can, Crissalane says so.

Deidre, Detailed Weddings & Events, loves to work with other talented event professionals like her NEAWP colleagues.  She promises to feed all her event partners.  Oh, and, she listens to Hard Core Rap.  Beware!

Dale never thought he’d be in the wedding and event business until he inherited Heart of Texas Ranch out in Marble Falls.  The best thing about Dale, he admits he’s still learning, and wants to hear feedback from his fellow NEAWP members.

Chief Cupcake Creator, Lori of The Cupcake Bar, introduced a new website and a brand new dessert/entertainment concept.  The roaming candy bar.  Bartenders bring the desserts to you!  We likey.

Todd of Say Cheese Photo Booth can handle up to 8 events in one night.  Has the addition of social sharing features on his hand-crafted booths.  And, you can now brand your own booth to have on hand at your venue.  Contact him for more info.

Kristen is the ILD Celebrity Tracker for all their SXSW events.  Has anyone seen Sloop Dog yet?  How about Gaga?

Debbie, the newest ILD team member, announced how you can Rent Your Event online.  Whoot!  Whoot!

Strong Event‘s Carly was thrown into the deep end of the pool.  Having to give her shameless plug with just 3 days of work.  But, she’s loving every minute of it so far.  I bet she’s pretty busy this week?

Myra, from Word of Mouth, says any day now Leslie is going to launch Word of Mouth bakery right next door to the WOM offices.  We’re waiting…

Southern’s Catering Cindy told us they are launching a restaurant at the Y.  Yummy!

Bleeker, AKA Bethany, is going to celebrate her 3rd year in business at Loxodonta events.  She is also a happy member of the NEAWP membership team.  Interested in learning about joining this great group?  Talk to her.

Kerri Parker of the Grand Ballroom at 1900 University Avenue at the AT&T Executive Center announced a brand new 10K foot ballroom is coming to go along with their 40 different event spaces. You can meet in true Texas Style!

Thanks to Scott and The Cake Plate for dessert, champagne and take aways.  He wins best shameless plug by letting us take it home with us.

Texas Poker Supply‘s Gentle Giant Nick stood up and told us about his young knowledgeable dealers.  “We bring Vegas not the VFW to you.”  In case you didn’t notice, Nick is tall and bald.

Margaret of Arundel Ensemble proclaimed, “We’re the best!”  From 1-20 pieces and can re-enact wedding music from anything.  They only employ full time musicians and some of them have won Grammy Awards.  WOWSA.

O-G-R stands for Old Glory Ranch.  Did you know OGR is a “glorious piece of property more dashing than Matthew McConaughey?”

Happy 30th Birthday to Fresh who’s sexy and he knows it!  He’s also the all things NEAWP guru.  Have a ?~ ping him.

Stacey from Vacation Property Rentals joined us.  She mentioned some great rental properties which would make fabulous venues for small and intimate Austin weddings.

Elizabeth, one of the Hyatt Regency Austin Downtown‘s, new to Austin ladies was there.  Did you know in July they will have a brand new ballroom?  We can’t wait.

From NYC impending Daddy, DJ Gatsby, shamefully plugged his spinning days from the United Nations up until his current gigs all over SXSW.  He takes requests from music played anytime in the last 100 years.

Kathy most enjoys sustainable events.  The #1 reason to hire Kathy Thomas Designs is flowers to her are not a job, they are a vocation.  10% of all her profits support young Guatamalan young women.

Welcome Faith (AKA Andy’s wife) to Andy Sams Photography.  We’re glad to have you handling Andy’s shameless plugs on a full time basis.  Especially since Andy Sams Photography was just given the prestigious Two Bright Lights Editor’s Choice Award.

We may know Natalie from Barbara’s Brides but she’s now with Austin Catering.  Austin Catering has been doing what they do best, serving fabulous food made from scratch in a creative presentation, for fourteen years.

Premiere Party Central is becoming Premiere Events.  Stay tuned for the new logos, new rentals and new staff.

Andy, the other half of the Andy Sams Photography team, boosted of his win as the NEAWP Member of the Year.  But, he still had to walk to the front of the room.  Andy books about 25 weddings a year and is usually booked up to 18 months in advance.

We owe Jackie of Sweet Treats our Thanks!  She bakes anything that makes us happy.  Pies, Cheesecakes, Vegan and Gluten-Free desserts.  If it has sugar they can bake it in their new bigger sized bakery.

Haley just joined Platinum Weddings & Events and got her certification through NECI too.  She loves working with Amy.  Who wouldn’t?

Welcome to Megan of Strong Events our newest NEAWP member.  I think Shameless Plug was her first meeting.

Jenni didn’t get her chance at the mic, so here is her 90 second intro! Hi I’m Jenni Charles I am the Owner and Event Planner for Couture Details.  I haven’t officially launched, but I have been incredibly fortunate to get several referrals and the business is in full swing!  I’m stoked that I’ve been able to bring business to some NEAWP members and look forward to working with them!  I love what I do and make sure to have lots of fun during the planning process.  I do lots….weddings, corporate, big parties, intimate occasions!  Stay tuned for a launch date later this year!
