Holiday Happy

Hi All!

The holiday season is well underway and we know everything is starting to run together. From parties to presents and multiple grocery runs because grandmas recipe only works for grandma, we hope that you will take a moment to be grateful.

That being said, its important to NEAWP that we give back to our community as much as possible. Two years ago during the Bastrop wildfires we learned of a person in the industry who was devastated by the disaster. Together we decided to focus our annual NEAWP Olympics donations to him in hopes that we could make even a small difference or at the very least provide some hope and encouragement. We feel like one of the greatest things about our organization and industry in general is that we are genuinely connected to one another. In the most humble manner possible, we wanted to share with everyone the lovely note we received back from Byron and hope that it will serve as a reminder this holiday season.

“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”

Hi Amy and everyone at NEAWP!
I was one of the people that lost their home in the big fires we had around central Texas. My two little dogs were even lost in the house too, because I was in Austin setting up for a wedding that day at the Driskell. When I got the call it was too late and all was lost.
That is why I am writing you all.
I want to THANK each and every one who has any connection to this incredible association NEAWP! The compassion and support was more than I ever could have expected. It has taken me a little while to get back on my feet, but want you to know that one of the first things on my list was to join your wonderful group. So I’d like to once again THANK EVERYONE in NEAWP! I am looking at your website to figure just how to join up and am super honored to get a chance to be a part of this incredible organization.
